Kevin Spacey’s new gambling movie has put an end to Jim Carrey’s three-week reign atop the international box office - 21 has replaced Horton Hears A Who! at number one.
The casino drama, which stars Spacey and Kate Bosworth as members of a group of mathematics genii who use their brains to beat Las Vegas casinos at their own game, raked in $9.8 million over the weekend to become the world’s most popular movie outside the U.S.
Animated family film Horton Hears A Who! drops to second place with $9.5 million, while Keanu Reeves’ new cop thriller Street Kings enters the chart at three with $8.8 million.
