Diamond Rio celebrated a significant anniversary Friday night, marking the group's 10th anniversary as members of the Grand Ole Opry.

"I only realized two or three months ago that it was going to be 10 years," bass player Dana Williams observed. "I cannot believe that we have been a part of this legendary institution for a decade. It is truly unbelievable, and we are looking forward to 10 more." The band made its first appearance on the Opry in October 1991, barely four months after the release of its debut album. When they were formally added as members in 1998, they were introduced to the audience by Little Jimmy Dickens, beginning their tenure on the roster by reprising their first hit, "Meet In The Middle."
