Jason Michael Carroll

Jason Michael Carroll has already accomplished many of the things that a lot of artists only hope to do. Sign a recording contract? Check. Have a hit record? Check. Play for 10,000 people on a single night? Check, check and check.

But don't think for a second that Jason has any thoughts of stopping there.

"I wanna be bigger than this," he told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "Things are moving really good for us, really well. I would like to be as big as Garth Brooks, George Strait — maybe bigger, if it's even possible. That's kind of unfathomable, but still, if it's possible, I would like to do it. I know it's gonna take a lot of work, because those guys work very hard on their own to stay where they're at."

Even though Jason is challenging the big dogs — and he's certainly appeared in concert with many of them — he's still a bit of a fan. Some of the things remaining on his check list are as simple as meeting some of the people who've influenced him.

"I'd like to meet [Aerosmith's] Steven Tyler," he said. "I want to meet Garth Brooks. I got to meet George Strait last year — yes, I got to check that one off my list, and I've said 'hey' to him several times since then."

In the coming months, Jason can expect to run into Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride quite often. He'll be opening shows for both of them.

Check.
