Actor George Clooney never sleeps in the master bedroom of his lavish Italian villa - because the room is too big.

The star, who owns an 18th century house in Lake Como, admits he sleeps in one of the 14 other bedrooms in the abode because he can’t bear to stay in a cavernous chamber.

He tells British magazine Heat, "Yes it’s true. It’s too big. It’s just too big. I’ve never quite managed to spend a night in the grand boudoir, so I sleep in one of the other 14 bedrooms when I’m there."
