One of the highlights of the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2007 came when 17-year-old Taylor Swift performed "Tim McGraw" on the show and literally met the man the song was titled after for the first time when she walked into the audience and sang it directly to Tim.
Taylor will be back performing on the 43rd annual show May 18, where she's up for three honors, including Top New Female Vocalist. Taylor will hardly be alone. Among the other performers, announced yesterday by the ACM, are Rodney Atkins, nominated for six awards; quadruple-nominee Sugarland; Top Female Vocalist candidate Carrie Underwood; and eight-time ACM-winner Dolly Parton.
Hosted for the 10th time by Reba McEntire, the ACMs will be telecast from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on CBS.
