She's been allegedly banned by British Airways, and now Naomi Campbell's blood has been rejected by health officials in Brazil, at least for now.
The Associated Press is reporting that the British supermodel attempted to donate blood in a drive held Tuesday at the HemoRio medical center to help fight an epidemic of dengue fever, but Brazilian officials wouldn't take it.
Officials there said she needs to wait longer after having surgery in February to remove a cyst.
An outbreak of mosquito-borne dengue fever has infected more than 75,000 people in Rio de Janeiro state this year and killed at least 80. Campbell often visits Brazil, and Rio Mayor Cesar Maia has invited her to be a goodwill ambassador for the city.
Earlier this month, Campbell was escorted off a British Airways flight at Heathrow Airport and arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer. A British newspaper reported that she has since been banned by the airline.
