Latin hunk Enrique Iglesias has had his hopes of wedding long-term girlfriend Anna Kournikova dashed, after the tennis star proclaimed she would "never" marry.

The couple has been dating for six years, and in December was rumored to be engaged after Russian-born Kournikova was spotted sporting a large diamond ring on her wedding finger.

Iglesias and Kournikova have since refused to confirm or deny the reports, but the 26-year-old beauty has cast doubt on claims she is due to exchange vows with the singer, after commenting on fellow tennis player Andy Roddick's recent engagement to model Brooklyn Decker.

She tells People.com, "They're really young, but I hope it works out.

"I'm never getting married. Everything is good."
