Jamie Hince has apparently been at the centre of a misunderstanding with police in Spain.

According to the Daily Mirror, a Barcelona hotel guest complained about the noise from another room.

However it seems The Kills frontman was filming a video in one of their suites.

The paper reports that the Spanish police were reportedly called to the hotel, and demanded to see the tapes of the music video.

Bandmate Alison Mosshart apparently told the newspaper: "They demanded the tapes. They were called because we woke up some silly b***** who couldn't take her hands off the phone to the front desk."

The Mirror's source said: "It sounded like they were having a riotous party, with shrieking and laughing.

"It was the early hours and people weren't impressed. The police thing was a massive overreaction, but no-one was arrested."

The 39-year-old musician was reunited with his girlfriend Kate Moss at Heathrow on Monday, when the model returned from a holiday in the US.
