Trisha Yearwood has co-authored her first cookbook, Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen. Multi-platinum country star Trisha Yearwood, along with her mom Gwen and sister Beth, share stories about their collaboration on the cookbook in an upcoming Great American Country special airing Thursday, May 8, (9 pm ET).
Shot in Brentwood, Tenn., “This show is about sharing our stories,” Yearwood says. “We’re also going to show some videos and have picked our favorites.” Included will be a clip of “Georgia Rain,” which was filmed in her home state.
Yearwood and her sister attribute their sweet-tooth to their mom’s baking skills. The trio will share some of their favorite recipes, including how to make perfect deviled eggs, cheese straws, and macaroni and cheese.
Yearwood has been married two years to country music singer-songwriter Garth Brooks.
