Billy Ray Cyrus has made quite the comeback, thanks in large part to his newfound popularity through the Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana."
"Get Ready, Get Set, Don't Go" — a duet with daughter Miley Cyrus — gave him his first Top 10 hit in nearly a decade. He's also getting ready to shoot a Hannah Montana movie and to host the sixth season of "Nashville Star" on NBC. In the midst of all that activity, Billy's trying to record another album and capitalize on what's clearly a hot time for him.
"Obviously this acting stuff has sort of taken on its own life," he told The Arizona Daily Star. "I'm lovin' what I'm doin' right now. I love acting. I love making music. It's extremely exciting to be back on radio. Somehow I found my spot in the industry and a spot where I get to do both."
The new album will include "Back To Tennessee," which is being considered as the 2008 theme to "Nashville Star." It also features his version of a Sheryl Crow song, "Real Gone."
Despite the frenzy that comes with the multiple acting parts, the recording and his commitments at home, Billy Ray is not letting stress get the better of him.
"My dad always said if you love what you do for a living, you never have to work another day in your life," Billy Ray noted. "It's all about attitude. Sometimes when things don't go your way, you just got to adjust your attitude."
