Looks like Moetley Cruee is gearing up to take another ride on the wild side. The L.A. sleaze-rock legends have scheduled a press conference in Hollywood this evening to unveil what they're trumpeting as "the year's biggest rock announcement." We'll be there to bring you all the sordid details, but Internet speculation is that the reunited foursome will be headlining a massive summer package tour dubbed Cruee Fest, supported by fellow hard-rocking outfits such as Papa Roach, Buckcherry and Trapt. Singer Vince Neil, bassist Nikki Sixx, guitarist Mick Mars and drummer Tommy Lee are also expected to bang the drum for their forthcoming album -- the first in a decade to feature all four original members. Word is it's titled The Dirt, and is based on their Rashomon-style 2001 autobiography of the same name. "It begins with the innocence of starting out with a song called Down at the Whisky," Sixx told Rolling Stone. "It goes through to when we're peaking and self-destructing at the same time in a song called White Trash Circus." Sixx said the disc -- featuring the recently released single Saints of Los Angeles -- also marks a return to the band's trademark '80s glam-metal. fctAdTag("bigbox",MyGenericTagVar,1); <IMG src="http://ad.doubleclick.net/ad/N2998.advertising.comOX2601/B2837969.33;abr=!ie4;abr=!ie5;sz=300x250;ord=3642681335?" There's also a lot of humour because, let's face it, we're ridiculously funny." Maybe so. But given that Sixx was just named president of Eleven Seven records, and a movie version of The Dirt is also in the works, it looks like the Cruee will be the one having the last laugh -- all the way to the bank.
