Country star Brad Paisley, known as a jokester among his friends and colleagues, wasn't joking Thursday night at a "Perfect 10" party held in his honor. The party marked several "10" milestones in Paisley's life: 10 million albums sold; 10 No. 1 singles; and 10 years with his label.
Paisley teared up during the presentation, which was attended by about 275 people which included co-writers, friends and his dad, Doug. Paisley's wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and their 1-year-old son Huck, were in Los Angeles where she was filming.
According to People.com, the singer said "This is for everyone who is here... thank you for giving me my job. You don't get to stand up on that stage... and I wish you could."
Country legend Little Jimmy Dickens, who is a frequent sidekick in Paisley's videos, was also at his side during the evening. When Paisley spoke about Nashville he had to pause and wipe a tear from his eyes. "We have the best people working here. Sorry, I have to try to keep it together thinking of them."
The "Perfect 10" party was held at the aptly named Radius 10 restaurant.
