Actress Cate Blanchett and her husband, playwright Andrew Upton, welcomed their third son in Sydney, Australia, on Sunday, according to sources.

Ignatius Martin Upton weighed 8 lbs., 6 oz.

Blanchett, 38, and Upton, 41, wed in 1997. They have two sons, Dashiell, 6, and Roman, 3.

Blanchett revealed that she was expecting at the premiere of Elizabeth: The Golden Age last November in Sydney.

“I do love being pregnant," the Oscar-winner told Australia's Herald Sun last year before announcing her big news. "But it isn't something that we plot and plan the time to do.

"You have to look at how having another child will affect the kids you do have and adore," she added. "But if it happens, it would be fantastic."
