American Idol hopeful Michael Johns has admitted that he was “shocked” when he was eliminated from the competition last week. On Tuesday night the Australian native sang Aero Smith’s version of ‘Dream On.’ He had never been in the bottom 3, but on Wednesday night things changed.See Also:
Johns found himself in the bottom 3 with Syesha Mercado and Carly Smithson. “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t shocked. I hadn’t been in the bottom three and I thought definitely the last two or three weeks has been my strongest,” he said.
He adds that he got support from several celebrities including Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. “I got a reach out from Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman saying that I was their favorite and they watched every week. It’s just amazing how far this show reaches,” Johns added.
