According to a statement released by the Dr. Phil Show on Saturday, a representative of the television personality bailed out one of the eight teens accused of viscously beating Victoria Lindsay in hopes of securing the girl’s story.

A representative of the Dr. Phil show bailed Mercades Nichols out of a Florida jail on Friday night and when the girl was leaving she was met by the rep.

In the statement released by the Dr. Phil Show it was noted that the decision to bail the girl out violated the rules of the show and they have opted to refrain from detailing the Nichols story.

Nichols was one of six teenage girls that were involved in the brutal attack of Lindsay on March 30. Lindsay suffered serious damage to her hearing and sight as a result of the attack and has since removed herself from Mulberry High School.

On Friday a judge ruled that all eight involved in the attack would be tried as adults. Their bail was set at $30,000 each.
