Coachella festival

Prince has been confirmed for this year’s Coachella Festival in California, following his sensational residency at London’s O2 Centre last year.

He’ll headline the second night of the three-day bash, which sees other acts including Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, Portishead, Jack Johnson, Hot Chip, Mark Ronson, Fatboy Slim, Goldfrapp, Kate Nash, The Verve and Kraftwerk.

Coachella is held in the desert near Indio, California, between Los Angeles and Las Vegas and is one of the most star-studded festivals in the world because of it’s proximity to Hollywood.

Last year, film siren Scarlett Johansson even appeared on stage singing with UK indie legends The Jesus And Mary Chain.

This year’s do will be held 25-26 April.
