Elton John has raised $2.5million (£1.3million) for Hillary Clinton's campaign to become US President by playing a gig at the New York Radio City Music Hall last night (April 9). The concert, billed as 'Elton-Hillary: One Night Only', saw 6,000 fans attend the bash, including Hillary Clinton herself. Fans paid up to $2,300 (£1,150) for tickets, which is the top legal limit for an individual's contribution to a presidential candidate. On stage, John declared: "I love you, Hillary, and I'll be there for you just like all the times you were there for me. Hillary should be the next President of America." Clinton and John kissed each other on the cheek later on in the show, with Clinton declaring: "What I want you to know is - I'm still standing."
