Prince has been added to the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival line-up.

The pop superstar will headline Saturday night at the three-day music event in California, which begins on April 25th.

The news comes a month after event bosses ruled out rumors Prince would perform at the desert festival, stating, "This is absolutely not true."

Prince will join former Pink Floyd star Roger Waters and Jack Johnson as the headliners of the ninth annual Coachella.

Other acts on the three-day bill include Portishead, Kraftwerk, The Verve, The Raconteurs, Dwight Yoakam, The Breeders and Death Cab For Cutie.
