Trisha Yearwood

Trisha Yearwood was featured on The View Wednesday as she spoke about her new cookbook entitled "Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen." The cookbook will be released Wednesday.

Yearwood co-wrote the book with her mother Gwen Yearwood, and sister, Beth Yearwood Bernard.

"My mom came out to Oklahoma, and we would sit on opposite computers and take different tasks," Trisha recalls in an interview with Great American Country. "We checked and re-checked amounts, and since she's a retired teacher, I had a lot of grammar questions for her. We wrote the book as a team of three, and some of the recipes that were Mom's or Beth's, I asked them to write about, and then I adapted their stories and used their notes or comments."

The cookbook is also featured in the May edition of Ladies' Home Journal.

Yearwood, who is from Monticello, Georgia, lives in Owasso, Oklahoma with husband Garth Brooks. The two got married in December 2005 at their Owasso ranch.
