Ashes Divide

The Pulse of Radio reports: ASHES DIVIDE, the new band formed by A PERFECT CIRCLE guitarist Billy Howerdel, releases its debut album, "Keep Telling Myself It's All Right", on Tuesday (April 8). The record is the payoff for years of work by Howerdel, during which he also did stints working as a tech and playing with A PERFECT CIRCLE. He told The Pulse of Radio that for him, this project was worth the wait and the effort. "Not to sound like gratuitous self-promotion, but I'm prouder of this record than I could ever hope to — for this album to come out the way it did is more than I could have asked for before. It took a lot to do it, I mean, it wasn't easy and now that it's there and in place I feel good about moving forward with it, from this record to the next one and onwards."

The first single from the ASHES DIVIDE album, "The Stone", is a Top 10 hit at rock radio.

Howerdel sings and plays guitar, bass and keyboard on the album, which also features A PERFECT CIRCLE's Josh Freese on drums and TOOL/A PERFECT CIRCLE frontman Maynard James Keenan's 11-year-old son Devo on cello.

ASHES DIVIDE will make its live debut at a radio festival in Orlando, Florida on May 10. The group will then play another radio show in Tampa and the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio before joining LINKIN PARK's Projekt Revolution tour this summer.

Before joining forces with Keenan in A PERFECT CIRCLE, Howerdel spent two years in the late '90s working as a tech during recording sessions for the still-unreleased GUNS N' ROSES album, "Chinese Democracy".
