Naomi Campbell's latest tantrum has earned her a ban from traveling with British Airways. The supermodel has been prohibited from flying the airline after she assaulted a police officer last week over lost baggage.

Campbell, 37, was arrested on April 3 inside Heathrow's Terminal 5, after boarding a British Airways flight where one of her bags had been lost. A police statement said that she was held on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.

Her camp has pleaded with the company to retract their ban. Her rep says, "Naomi has been flying with BA for nearly 30 years and has been a good customer. She hopes this can be resolved amicably."

But British Airways is firm with their decision.

A source says, "Banning her will send out a worldwide signal that such behavior is totally unacceptable."

"The decision was not taken lightly. She is a valued customer. But it is unthinkable for BA to talk about the safety of staff and passengers being our priority, then let her off. Her behavior was absolutely shocking. She abused our staff and police."

Meanwhile, rival airline Virgin Atlantic says Campbell is welcome to fly with them. However, that still depends on the outcome of any court proceedings regarding her travel.
