Prince William and Prince Harry say they agree with the jury’s verdict in the inquest into their mother’s death. The 11 member jury found that Princess Diana and her boyfriend Dondi Fayed died because of factors surrounding the car crash.
The jury blames the intoxicated driver of the couple’s Mercedes, Henri Paul, and the speed that he was going at the time of the accident. They also blame the paparazzi that was pursuing the car.
“We should like to thank the members of the Jury at the Inquests into the deaths of our mother and Dondi Al Fayed for the through way in which they have considered the evidence,” said the princes in a statement. “We agree with their verdicts, and are both hugely grateful to each and every one of them for the forbearance they have shown in accepting such significant disruption to their lives over the past six months.”
