Leona Lewis

Leona Lewis' hit record 'Bleeding Love' is at the center of a bidding war to be used in a Hollywood blockbuster.

The British singer is reportedly being inundated with huge "seven figure" offers from film companies eager to use the global hit. Movie bosses are also showing interest in two of her other songs.

A source said: "A number of huge offers are on the table for Leona's songs. The bids for 'Bleeding Love' are staggering. They are into seven figures."

"The offers are for major blockbusters - some just around the corner."

It is believed Leona could emulate the success of Whitney Houston, who she has been widely compared to, whose hit 'I Will Always Love You' became a global phenomenon when it appeared on 'The Bodyguard' soundtrack in 1992.

The source added: "This could turn 'Bleeding Love' into the biggest song of the decade - like 'I Will Always Love You.'"

Last week, Leona became the first British solo female to top the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 21 years with 'Bleeding Love'. The track was the biggest-selling single of 2007 in the U.K., and has topped the charts in more than 27 countries.

Leona's mentor Simon Cowell is planning to remind the 22-year-old of her musical roots by asking her to appear on the next series of U.K. TV talent show 'The X Factor', on which she first shot to fame.

He said: "I am absolutely delighted for Leona. She has been working her butt off all year, doing the promotional stuff in the U.S."

"I want her on 'The X Factor' this year so she'll definitely be coming back to Britain. Leona has to keep her feet on the ground and isn't getting carried away by any of this."
