MTV's Sway has joined forces with some of hip hop's biggest producers, including The Alchemist and the late J. Dilla, for a rap battle. As part of the "100K Battle" offered by Sway and King Tech of the "Wake Up Show," aspiring artists get a chance to download beats for free from a host of producers like The Alchemist, 9th Wonder, DJ Khalil and J Dilla on their new social networking music site, urSESSION.com The premise of the 100K Battle is that contestants sign up to urSESSION.com and then download a beat from any of the mentioned producers. Contestants can then rap/sing over the given track and upload it back to the site. The winner will be chosen by fan votes and will receive $5,000, a trip to Hollywood to appear on the "Wake Up Show" and will have his/her track played nationwide. Grammy award winning System of A Down's artist Shavo Odajian and internet entrepreneur Narb Avedissian are also co-founders of the urSESSION site, which also doubles as a digital record label. The 100K Battle begins April 2nd on urSESSION.com. Related Videos:
