One of the leading ladies of 'Grey's Anatomy' is denying the rumors that she is leaving the popular television series. Katherine Heigl, who plays Dr. Isobel Stevens on the hit TV show, made her breakthrough into the big screen in 2007 and recently starred in hit comedy movie "Knocked Up."
Critics have hailed Heigl as the next Julia Roberts, but Heigl insists that her Hollywood career comes second to her role in 'Grey's Anatomy.'
The Emmy winner says, "When I come back to Grey's, I am actually really excited. After nine months a year for four years, of course you're going to think, 'I want to be someone else for a while.'"
"I landed really good things and I did them in my breaks. It broke up the monotony of the character and I'm very, very grateful for opportunities. But Grey's is such a good cast. Everybody is amazing."
If Heigl did decide to leave, it wouldn't be free and clear. She still has two years left on her three year contract and leaving early could result in some heavy fines.
Heigl has had past issues with her ABC bosses when early last year she dropped out of contract negotiations over a salary dispute, claiming that the network didn't value her as much as some of her costars such as Sandra Oh and Isaiah Washington.
