LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. - Bon Jovi lead guitarist Richie Sambora was arrested Tuesday for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol. Sambora, 48, was arrested just before 11 p.m. after an officer noticed his black Hummer weaving in traffic lanes, Laguna Beach police Sgt. Jason Kravetz said Wednesday. Sambora was given some field sobriety tests and arrested without incident. He was booked at the Laguna Beach jail, where he gave a blood sample and was released at 4 a.m., Kravetz said. "He was very co-operative with all the staff," Kravetz said. Three female passengers, including two minors, were in the car with Sambora. The adult woman took custody of the two minors and the car after Sambora's arrest, he said. Kravetz declined to release their names. Sambora was given notice to appear in court May 7 on one misdemeanour count of driving under the influence, Kravetz said. Blood test results, which could show Sambora's level of intoxication, will take about a week to come back. Bon Jovi publicist Laura Swanson did not immediately return a call for comment Wednesday. Sambora is a founding member of Bon Jovi and has played guitar for all of their hits, including "Bad Medicine." The group's last album, released in 2007, was called "Lost Highway."
