Four women have filed a lawsuit against Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis, accusing the adult filmmaker of exploiting them while they were underage.
In legal papers submitted to a Panama City, Florida courthouse last week, the women claim they were 13, 15, 16 and 17, in 2003 and earlier, when Girls Gone Wild cameramen and producers solicited them into participating in sexually-provocative videos.
The four females are seeking unspecified damages, according to FoxNews.com. The lawsuit is the latest in a run of legal problems for Francis.
Earlier this month, he avoided a lengthy jail sentence in Florida after reaching a plea deal over allegations he videotaped two minors engaging in sexual activity.
Francis’ legal team claimed the two girls lied about their age to an independent cameraman, and that their sex performance footage was never used.
He pleaded no contest to the charges in exchange for being sentenced to time already served.
Francis had flown to that Florida hearing from Reno, Nevada, where he had just spent 12 months behind bars on federal tax evasion charges.
Francis must return to Reno to stand trial in August (08), when he faces a maximum fine of $500,000 and a 10-year prison sentence if convicted.
