May 8 will mark 15 years since the very first Toby Keith album made its debut on the Billboard Country Albums chart, and the same week, Toby's career gets a major retrospective with the release of the double-disc CD, "Toby Keith's 35 Biggest Hits."See Also:
The album features 34 well-established tracks, beginning with Toby's first hit, "Should've Been A Cowboy," and running right through to 2006. Also featured is his latest single, "She's A Hottie," which was digitally released to radio stations at the end of last month. The album will appear jointly on Toby's Show Dog Nashville label and Universal, fulfilling his contractual obligations to Universal.
Toby also plans to issue two more albums during 2008: a standard studio project and the soundtrack to Beer For My Horses.
In addition, Toby — who used to play semi-pro football — recorded a song for an upcoming album called Rebound by former NBA star Wayman Tisdale. The album is due June 3, and Toby's contribution is an unlikely one: a remake of Barry White's soul classic "Never Gonna Give You Up."
The track list for Toby Keith's 35 Biggest Hits, coming May 6, follows:
