Josh Groban's Aug. 28, 2007, concert in Salt Lake City forms the basis for "Awake Live," due May 6 via 143/Reprise. The CD/DVD set will spawn a PBS special scheduled to air in June.
Details are still coming together, but "Awake Live" will feature guest appearances by Angelique Kidjo and Lucia Micarelli. The title track will serve as the first radio single.
Groban recently scrapped a South African tour over disputes with the promoter, but will be back in action for a May 12-13 stand at London's Royal Albert Hall.
The artist enjoyed the best-selling album of 2007 with "Noel," which has sold 3.7 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
