Country music singer Sarah Evans is engaged to former University of Alabama quarterback Jay Barker. “The couple are enjoying their engagement and look forward to their upcoming nuptials,” says Evans’ rep Lori Genes.

Evans divorced her first husband Craig Schelske last September. The 37-year-old quit Dancing with the Stars to deal with the very public battle. At the time she said she felt that her 3 daughter’s needed her.

She and Barker began dating before Thanksgiving last year. They haven’t set a wedding date.

Barker has four children from a previous marriage.
