With songs like "Kerosene" and "Gunpowder And Lead" in her arsenal, Miranda Lambert's developed a reputation as a wild woman. She doesn't deny that she's got that element among her traits, but she also insists it's not entirely representative of her.
"It's a character," she told The Houston Chronicle. "You don't meet Johnny Depp and expect him to be a pirate of the Caribbean. That's ridiculous."
As an example of her softer side, she noted that she was hatching chicken eggs recently in an incubator, and one of the 20 chicks didn't make it. Instead of focusing on the 19 that emerged successfully, she spent a day saddened about the one that died.
"Definitely, I have an attitude a little bit, and I don't take any crap," she said. "But I'm not running around crazy setting people on fire, either. I'm just a normal, everyday girl."
