A woman who claims to have been dating Adnan Ghalib while he was seeing Britney Spears says that the photographer only went out with the singer because he “pitied” her.

Amanda Pagel claims she met Ghalib through a mutual friend in January. Pagel said Ghalib visited her at her home but never went in public with her so it wouldn’t look as if he was “betraying” Spears.

“He kept saying: As soon as she’s better and back on her own two feet doing her own thing, we can go public,” says the waitress. “And he told me he ‘pitied’ her and felt sorry for her. She’d been through a lot and he used to say he was the only one that he trusted.”

Spears allegedly dumped Ghalib after finding text messages on his phone from Pagel. “I felt sick. I knew the texts were one’s we’d sent to each other,” she added.

Pagel claims she and Ghalib are no longer seeing one another because he wants to wait for things to “blow over.”

Meanwhile, Ghalib was recently denied entry to Spears’ home. He was photographed sitting outside in his car talking to the singer on his phone. It is unclear why he wasn’t allowed to see Spears.
