Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ BMI) - Country music artist Lee Roy Parnell and Julie Albertson are engaged to be married. Texas native Parnell, 51 and Albertson, 40, a North Dakota native, met at a charity Guitar Gala sponsored by BMI and Gibson Guitars.

Parnell has had a string of hits on country radio - his, as well as with other artists, and is widely renowned for his searing signature finesse on electric slide guitar. He is an official spokesperson for Gibson and is co-owner of Dean-Parnell Music Company.
Albertson is a clinical oncology manager with Precision Therapeutics, a biotech company based out of Pittsburgh.
A fall wedding is planned in Nashville.
