Latino pop superstar Juanes’ free peace concert on the Venezuela-Colombia border was a huge success at the weekend, luring 300,000 music fans to the Simon Bolivar Bridge. The singer was joined by Ricardo Montaner, Juan Luis Guerra, Miguel Bose and Alejandro Sanz, among others, while fellow Colombian Shakira filmed a video message for the historic show. The concert’s location was carefully chosen - the bridge gig was at the crossroads of Cucuta in Colombia and San Antonio in Venezuela. Spaniard Sanz, who recently scrapped a concert in Venezuela after comments he made about the country’s President Hugo Chavez led to a public outcry, told fans, "It is a pleasure to be here for Colombia, for Venezuela, for Ecuador, for peace. "This day will go down in history. You’re all making history. The message is clear: we don’t want wars amongst our people." Sanz ended his set by performing his hit Corazon partio with event organiser Juanes, Miguel Bose, Vives, Juan Luis Guerra and Velasco.
