Former President Bill Clinton joined actor Brad Pitt in New Orleans on Sunday for the "Make it Right" project.
The project aims to build 150 homes for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Clinton and Pitt toured the Lower 9th ward where hundreds of volunteers helped clean and prepare the land for construction.
Pitt was quoted saying "We hope to see a huge change here in the next six months," while signing autographs.
The site was also the venue for the Clinton Global Initiative University, is a three day program which started on Friday. It was designed for college students with the aim of developing solutions to global problems.
