Ne-Yo, Jimmy Eat World, Gym Class Heroes, Paramore and Sean Kingston will perform as part of the first Samsung Sound Check, a series of free private concerts to begin later this month.

The concert series launches March 27 with a performance from Ne-Yo at the House of Blues in New Orleans. The jaunt continues with a March 30 concert by Jimmy Eat World at Amos' Southend in Charlotte, N.C. Gym Class Heroes will perform at Park West in Chicago on April 10 and Paramore is scheduled to play Houston's Meridien on April 29. The series culminates with a May 14 performance by Sean Kingston at the Empire Ballroom in Las Vegas.

A limited number or free tickets will be available through radio promotions, street teams and online registration. A Web site for the concert series is expected to launch early next week.

Meanwhile, each event will feature an hour-long music performance and will showcase the latest music-centric cell phone offerings from Samsung. Los Angeles-based DJ Matthew Sullivan will make an appearance at each stop.

Additionally, a number of prizes -- including featured cell phones -- will be given away. Samsung is teaming up with local cell phone carriers in each market to sponsor the concerts.

Last summer, Samsung launched its inaugural Samsung/AT&T Summer Krush, a free summer concert series designed to highlight a line of music-centric Samsung mobile phones. The series featured performances by Ludacris, the Bravery, Kinky, Big & Rich, the All-American Rejects and Plain White T's. The trek visited fans in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Dallas, New York and San Francisco.
