BET.com has exclusively learned that the long-standing feud between Royce Da 5’9 and Eminem has officially been put to rest. Dating back to a series of misunderstandings which begun in 2002, Eminem and Royce’s relationship took a turn for the worst due to a couple of indirect and ill-mannered comments made by both parties. Though Royce and Em never dissed each other directly, surrounding parties made it difficult to ease the tension. In a recent clip, Shady Records (Eminem’s label) artist Cashis, addresses comments made by Royce against Eminem and physically threatens Royce for his choice of words in a recent interview. "You spoke on [Eminem]. You called my man a white cracker and you can't take that back," Cashis asserted in the video. "So I'm not going to go line for line with you, even though I will burn your b*tch ass. When I see you, I'm going to beat the sh-- out of you." In a quick response, Eminem reached out to his former cohort to squash the beef before it could escalate. “It was a situation where we just had to talk, otherwise it might have been a problem," Royce exclusively told BET.com. He continued, "He reached out and just squashed it. And during that conversation, we talked about everything else, we aired everything out and we’re good now.” As for future collaborations, Royce isn’t promising anything, but stated rebuilding their friendship is the main priority as of right now. “We’re working on the friendship aspect of the relationship,” Royce stated. “ We haven’t talked about anything creative, we’re friends before anything so we’ve been talking and that’s what our focus is. I can’t promise any records or anything like that." Be on the look out for Royce Da 5’9’s newest mixtape, The Bar Exam 2, in which he’s tweaking right now. The tape, which will be hosted by DJ Green Lantern, will be followed up by two DJ Premier executive produced CD’s titled Street Hop and The Revival.
