Even though pop singer Michael Jackson hasn't lived on his Neverland ranch since 2005, the star isn't ready to give it up yet. The famous ranch was scheduled to go to a public auction later this month, but Jackson has been able to refinance Neverland and it will not go to auction.
According to L. Londell McMillan, the attorney for Jackson, the singer was able to work out a confidential agreement with Fortress Investment Group, LLC. The deal allows Jackson to retain his Neverland ranch which is located in Los Olivos, California.
An auction had been set for March 19 because the singer owed $24.5 million on the 2,500 acre spread.
The ranch, which is northwest of Santa Barbara, boasts a train station and train, similar to the entrance to Walt Disney World, rides and animals. Jackson has not lived on the ranch since his acquittal on child molestation charges in 2005.
