A representative for Soulja Boy has shot down reports that the rapper was slated to take the stage at a Dothan, Alabama venue this weekend and failed to show.
As reported earlier, officials for the Dothan Civic Center said that Soulja Boy was booked to be at the venue by 7pm on Saturday (March 7) to perform and never appeared.
Refunds to disappointed concertgoers began being doled out yesterday (March 10).
No explanation was given by the show's promoter or the venue’s officials to why Soulja Boy never showed.
Soulja Boy's camp contacted Sixshot.com this afternoon (March 11) maintaining that they had made no booking for the rapper to perform in Dohan and that he is currently overseas.
“We did not have a contract to do a show in Dothan, AL. I have never seen a contract for this show. All of our shows are booked through William Morris Talent Agency!” a rep for the rapper told Sixshot via e-mail. “Soulja Boy Tellem is currently in Paris, France with me finishing up a 2 1/2 week Europe promotional run.”
