G-Unit & Dipset

In this week's Speak On It forum everyone has an opinion about G-Unit taking on Dipset in a battle for New York, Lil' Wanye & Young Jeezy possibly being the two "best rappers alive"-in the last 5 years, and the casting for the new Notorious B.I.G movie.

Kobe & Lebron Of The Rap Game?

Both Lil' Wayne and Young Jeezy have made major contributions to the rap game in recent years. Some forum members went as far as to say, "They have been the overall best rappers in the industry for the past 5 years."

Karim Kharbouch supports them both by saying, "No doubt about it, from buzz, mixtapes, quality of Retail albums, and dropping heat on guest appearances. These 2 dudes have consistently held it down the past 5 years. And that's including everybody from ya'll favorite boy Lupe, Jay, Tip, Snoop, everybody. It's like those 2 are the Kobe and Lebron of the Rap Game."

Classics, disagrees and puts in a bid for another contender, "As far as solo, ain't no one effed with 50 Cent on retail and mixtapes. G-Unit Radio Series rivals Wayne's mixtape catalogue."

G-Unit Was Never About N.Y.

Speaking of Fif his name pops up in another argument. Amidst ongoing rumors that both the Dipset and G-Unit camps are breaking up, SOHH forum members asked, "Whose movement was better for NY?"

Bathing Ape da goat said, "G-Unit was never about "NY" in particular...they were blatantly just trying to sell out and go global. Dipset was about NY--flashy, arrogant, entertainment. [Dipset] had the streets fiendin for new mixtapes/songs."

Theman080, argues for G-Unit and claims, "Banks is better than anyone in Dipset lyrically. Return of the Body Snatchers>>>Cam's mixtape."

Crediting no one, mb1985 said, "Neither were good, both were destructive."

Which camp gets your vote? Speak on it here.

Bad Casting?

With the Biggie biopic recently casted and Brooklyn rapper Gravy set to play the late MC, the forum is ablaze on which decisions make sense.

Twofive thinks Gravy is a good look, "Bad casting so far besides the rolls of Biggie and his moms. At least Gravy looks like Big a bit."

TheIc'sMrDTP415, questions whether a film is deserving, "Did Biggie even make a difference in Life? If he gets a movie, then line one up for Jam Master Jay.

What's your take on the Biggie drama?
