American Idol “Top 12” contestant David Hernandez doesn’t appear to be too concerned over the recent revelation that he had been a male stripper, telling Entertainment Weekly “I'm not really concerned with what's going on. I'm just focused on singing, because that's what I'm here to do.”

The 24-year-old Hernandez reportedly worked at Dick’s Cabaret in Glendale, AZ for close to three years but stopped when he began chasing his American Idol dream.

While his stripper past may come back to haunt him Hernandez thinks its his vocal pipes that will ultimately determine his success on the show telling EW, “I think America's judging us all off of our voices right now. Obviously they were, because I'm still in the Top 12, thank God.”
