Garth Brooks has known Trisha Yearwood for about 20 years, and he's been married to her since December 2005. With Garth currently retired from the road, he's in the role of house-husband, doing the laundry and the dishes - without, he adds, a maid.
And he couldn't be happier.
"It's a great thing," Garth told WSIX-FM personality Gerry House during the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville this week. "When you find that person that you're supposed to be with, the kind of person that you just — all they have to do, they don't even have to say please. To me, how someone could mold you into a position that no one ever could without ever touching you, without ever tying you down or anything, it's a very fortunate position to be in, and I know it's very rare that you find it. I feel very lucky."
Living in a house with three daughters and "Miss Yearwood," Garth declared himself "last in the pecking order," but again, he's not complaining.
"Inside and out," he said of Trisha, "she's beautiful."
Garth made an unannounced appearance this week when Trisha did an acoustic set for an invitation-only audience. He played guitar as she delivered "Walkaway Joe."
