Last night on American Idol the girls’ performances weren’t as good as the guys. Brooke White seems to be the front runner for the girls. She sang “Love is a Battlefield” and Simon Cowell liked it. He said she did the right thing again.

Simon also liked Amanda Overmeyer. She sang “I Hate Myself for Loving You” in her usual screaming-sort of voice. Randy Jackson said it wasn’t bad but it sounded the same.

Carly Smithson sang “I Drove All Night.” She is also a front runner and Paula Abdul calls her a “dependable dog.”

Ramiele Malubay, Syesha Mercado, and Asia’h Epperson’s performances were all mediocre.

Simon told Kady Malloy that she has a “massive lack of personality” when she performs. She sang “Who Wants to Live Forever” and Simon thought she acted like a robot.

Kristy Lee Cook was told that her problem is that she is forgettable. She sang “Faithfully” and the judges liked the country twist she put on it.

Tonight two girls and two guys will be sent home.
