Josh Turner has been placed on medical rest on the advice of his doctors, requiring him to cancel a series of activities this week.

Josh developed the flu several weeks ago and continued to work through it, but he then came down with a chronic sinus infection.

No concerts have been cancelled because of his illness, but he did have to bow out of a Grand Ole Opry appearance, a scheduled performance on "Crook & Chase" and plans to attend the 39th annual Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, where approximately 2,000 radio executives are gathering.
