Janet Jackson’s music producer boyfriend Jermaine Dupri has denied recent laser eye surgery left him "virtually blind".

Dupri was forced to cancel a lecture in New York last week after reportedly suffering complications following an operation to correct his vision.

Rumors later surfaced on the Internet that Dupri was left "virtually blind" - although a spokesperson for the star insists he is not suffering major problems with his eyesight.

Patti Webster, Dupri’s publicist, dismissed the claims as "not true".
