Noel Gallagher was turned away at Elton John's party. The Oasis guitarist and songwriter found himself rejected at the 60-year-old's post-Oscars party after he was refused entry by security.

Gallagher turned up at John's party with a small group, according to the Daily Mirror, but was not allowed entrance.

"Noel was texting the organizers trying to get in but they weren't having any of it. In the end, they all sloped off looking dejected," a source says.

John's party, which took place at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles, was the 16th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation party. The fortunate ones who were allowed to get in were Sean Penn, Lionel Richie, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Seal, Minnie Driver, and the night's Best Actress, Marion Cotillard.
