Things began to go sour right after the duo's show at Evergreen State College concluded in the early hours of Friday, when a fight broke out inside the College Recreation Center. When an officer from Thurston County Sheriff's Department arrived to the scene fans protested and taunted her for the arresting an unidentified man. To avoid incitng the crowd any further, the officer released the suspect and instead took down his information so that he could be summoned for court. Despite the officers actions, people began throwing rocks and bottles at the other cop cars that had arrived as back-up. When one police car broke down from engine problems, fans from the concert attacked the car, kicking in its windows and flipping it over. Additional troopers and Emergency Service had to be called in order t disperse the crowd. But despite the additional back up, a deputy's laptop and a radar gun were stolen. Trooper Brandy Kessler told the Olympian that a member of Dead Prez egged on the fans into attacking the officer. "They're taking one of our people. Go take care of it," retorted Kessler repeating what one of the rappers said. "It sounds like the band may have been encouraging them a little" She continued. But fans disagreed saying that the rapper only told them to get the badge number and look after the man the officers were trying to arrest. Despite the chaos no further arrest have been made.
