Oprah Winfrey's first retail store on U.S. soil opened its doors for the first time Thursday near her sprawling Harpo Studios complex in Chicago.
The 5500 square-foot shop features approximately 900 products that represent "the style and taste Oprah celebrates and shares on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show,’” her publicist said in a statement. “The interior was created to evoke a loft-like urban feel with exposed ceiling along with the extensive use of bamboo wood, brushed metals and green chocolate-flaked marble.”
Items include everything from books and workout gear – to cosmetics bags and homemade keychains – to a $300 pair of crocodile boots. The store also carries a signature line of baby products called "O Baby," and select arts and crafts from South Africa, where she opened a school for girls last year.
The most popular item sold during Thursday's grand opening were $13 cosmetics bags decorated with blue, yellow, pink and purple Os.

My family reunion will be in Chicago June 27 - 30, 2008. We want to visit the Oprah Store. Does it have souvenirs from the Oprah Winfrey Show for sale in addition to regular merchandise?
