Jesse Metcalfe has been videoed being punched in the face.

In footage courtesy of TMZ.com, the Desperate Housewives actor was seen having a heated argument with Mams Taylor, boyfriend of Taryn Manning, outside a Los Angeles club Thursday night.

The 29-year-old Metcalfe had been knocked down to the ground after the said punch. A source tells People.com that Taylor had been pissed because Metcalfe told his friends that he was jumped after he talked to Manning that night.

Meanwhile, Taylor has talked to OK! magazine on why he gave Metcalfe the punch.

"Of course I'd rather the incident did not take place. But Jesse was arrogant, insulting and unnecessarily very rude to me as well as my girlfriend.

"I was also physically attacked first before I defended myself."

Metcalfe is notable for playing Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald on the soap opera, Passions. He is currently playing John Rowland on the Desperate Housewives, who used to be Gabrielle Solis' boy toy.
