Eva Mendes

Eva Mendes temporarily left rehab to visit her boyfriend.

The 'Hitch' actress checked into Utah's Cirque Lodge clinic last week, but decided to take a break and fly to Los Angeles to be with producer George Gargurevich.

Her representative said: "Eva is attending to some personal business in Los Angeles and intends to return to complete her treatment shortly."

Despite reports the 33-year-old beauty is seeking help for substance abuse, her representative denied the rumours, saying she is being treated for "personal issues".

Her spokeswoman said: "Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support."

The Cirque Lodge clinic has housed a host of troubled celebrities, including Lindsay Lohan and Richie Sambora.
